About Trauma Resilience Seminars

At Trauma Release & Wellness Centre, our work is rooted in trauma-informed, body-aware, and relational care. 



We understand that distress is not “what’s wrong with you,” but what has happened to you and how your nervous system learned to survive. Our therapy sessions focus on creating safety, regulation, and choice. We work gently with the nervous system, helping clients build capacity before processing difficult experiences. Therapy is paced, collaborative, and attuned—never rushed or overwhelming. 


Every session is guided by the principles of safety, trust, empowerment, and respect for your individual experience.

Trauma Resilience Seminars

Individual therapy at TRWC offers a confidential, one-to-one space to explore your inner world while staying anchored in safety and regulation.
Our therapists work with both mind and body, supporting emotional processing without overwhelming the nervous system.
Sessions may include trauma-informed talk therapy, somatic awareness, grounding, resourcing, and gentle trauma processing techniques—always guided by your readiness.

Understanding your rights as a client and our shared responsibilities ensures a healthy therapeutic relationship.
Your Rights

Confidentiality: Everything shared in therapy is kept confidential. Confidentiality may be breached only if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, in line with safety and legal protocols. Therapists also participate in professional supervision, where aspects of the therapy process may be discussed to support quality of care while maintaining confidentiality.

Informed Consent: You have the right to be fully informed about the therapy process, including the therapist’s qualifications, therapeutic approaches, potential risks, benefits, and alternatives. Your consent is required before therapy begins and is ongoing throughout the process.

Respect & Dignity: You will be treated with respect, dignity, and compassion at all times, regardless of background, identity, beliefs, or experiences, in alignment with Trauma Release & Wellness Centre’s trauma-informed values.

Right to Refuse or Terminate Therapy: You may refuse any intervention you are uncomfortable with and can choose to discontinue therapy at any time. Termination is ideally done through mutual understanding, and a closure session or phone call can be arranged to support a healthy ending.

Access to Records: You have the right to access your therapy records, subject to relevant legal, ethical, and clinical considerations.

Quality of Care: You have the right to receive competent, professional, and evidence-based care from qualified therapists. TRWC therapists hold advanced degrees and international training in trauma recovery, relationships, anxiety, and related areas.

Clear Communication: You are entitled to clear communication regarding session fees, scheduling, and therapeutic goals. The therapeutic relationship is professional, and communication outside sessions is limited to organisational channels.

Non-Discrimination: Therapy is provided without discrimination. Clients are treated equitably regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or other personal characteristics.

Participation in Treatment Planning: You have the right to actively participate in treatment planning so therapy aligns with your goals, preferences, and capacity.

Your Responsibilities

Active Participation: You are encouraged to engage openly and honestly in therapy and to share any concerns, difficulties, or feedback that arise during the process.

Commitment to the Process: Attending sessions consistently supports therapeutic progress. Sessions are pre-booked, and the same weekly slot is reserved unless you request a change. If a slot remains inactive for two consecutive weeks, it may be released to support other clients.

Payment Responsibility: You are responsible for understanding and completing session payments.
– In-person sessions may be paid before or after the session (cash or online transfer).
– Online sessions require advance payment before the session link is shared.
– Payment screenshots must be uploaded to the TheraSoar payment feature.
– clients may use Stripe, with applicable service charges.

Cancellation & Rescheduling: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Same-day cancellations or reschedules are considered paid cancellations and charged at the full session fee.

Respecting Boundaries: You are expected to respect the professional boundaries of the therapeutic relationship. Communication with therapists should occur only through designated organisational channels (TheraSoar or official email). Therapists do not engage in social or personal relationships with clients, including on social media.

Adherence to Treatment Agreements: You are encouraged to follow through with agreed-upon interventions or between-session practices and to discuss any challenges openly with your therapist.

Safety Responsibilities: You are responsible for informing your therapist if you experience thoughts of self-harm, harm to others, or other safety concerns, allowing appropriate support and intervention.

Counselling Guidelines & Policies: Clients are expected to follow counselling guidelines, including session reminders, pre-booking processes, and use of approved communication channels.

Our Counselling Agreement
Our counselling agreement is designed to create a safe, transparent, and respectful therapeutic relationship. It outlines how we work together and what you can expect from therapy at Trauma Release & Wellness Centre.
Our Commitment to You

Confidentiality:

Therapists also participate in professional supervision to support treatment quality while maintaining confidentiality.

Informed Consent:
You have the right to be fully informed about the therapy process, including your therapist’s qualifications, therapeutic approaches, potential benefits, risks, and alternatives. Your consent is ongoing and can be revisited at any time.

Right to Refuse or End Therapy:
You may decline any intervention you are uncomfortable with and can withdraw from therapy at any point. When possible, therapy endings are supported through a planned closure session or call.

Access to Records:
You have the right to request access to your therapy records, subject to legal, ethical, and clinical considerations.

Clear & Professional Communication:
You are entitled to clear information regarding session fees, scheduling, and treatment goals. The therapeutic relationship is professional, and communication outside sessions is limited to organisational channels.

Session Structure

Session Length:
Sessions are typically 50–60 minutes in duration.

Frequency:
Sessions are usually held weekly or bi-weekly, depending on therapeutic needs and capacity.

Mode of Therapy:
Sessions may take place in person or online, based on preference, clinical suitability, and availability.

Commitment to the Process:
Sessions are pre-booked, and a consistent weekly slot is reserved unless a change is requested. Regular attendance supports continuity and progress.

Payments:
- In-person sessions may be paid before or after the session (cash or online transfer).
- Online sessions require advance payment before the session link is shared.
- Payments can be made via Stripe or VAT, with a 5% service charge applicable where relevant.

Cancellations & Rescheduling:
Please provide 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Same-day cancellations or reschedules are considered paid cancellations and charged at the full session fee.

Boundaries & Safety

Professional Boundaries:
Therapists maintain clear professional boundaries. Dual relationships and social interactions outside therapy (including social media connections) are not part of the therapeutic relationship.

Communication Channels:
All communication between sessions (e.g. cancellations, rescheduling, or administrative queries) takes place through designated organisational channels to ensure safety, privacy, and consistency.

What does “trauma-informed” mean at Trauma Release & Wellness Centre?

Being trauma-informed means we understand how trauma impacts the nervous system, emotions, relationships, and behaviour. Our work prioritises safety, choice, collaboration, and pacing. Therapy is never rushed or forced, and you remain in control of what is explored and when.

What happens in the first therapy session?

The first session is a gentle orientation. We focus on understanding what brings you to therapy, answering your questions, and helping you feel safe and grounded. There is no pressure to share more than you are ready for. Therapy moves at your pace.

What if I feel nervous, unsure, or don’t know what to say?

That is completely normal. Many people come to therapy feeling unsure or overwhelmed. Your therapist will guide the session and support you in finding words—or simply noticing what is happening in your body and emotions. You do not need to have everything figured out to begin.

Do I need a diagnosis to start therapy?

No. You do not need a diagnosis to begin therapy. We focus on your lived experience, current challenges, and goals rather than labels. If a diagnosis becomes clinically relevant, it will be discussed collaboratively.

How long does therapy usually last?

The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some people come for short-term support, while others choose longer-term work. Therapy duration is reviewed regularly and adjusted based on your needs, goals, and capacity.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything shared in therapy is confidential, except in situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, as required by safety and legal guidelines. Therapists also participate in professional supervision to support quality of care while maintaining confidentiality.

What is your affiliation with Arizona Trauma Institute (ATI)?

Trauma Release & Wellness Centre has been working with Arizona Trauma Institute for several years. Our therapists are trained in trauma-informed frameworks aligned with ATI principles, including nervous-system-based care, safety-first trauma processing, and ethical clinical practice.

What is TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises)?

TRE is a body-based practice that supports the release of deep muscular tension and stress through natural neurogenic tremors. It helps regulate the nervous system and can be supportive alongside therapy. TRE is always introduced carefully and in a regulated, informed manner.

Do I have to do TRE if I start therapy?

No. TRE is optional. Some clients choose to integrate it into their healing process, while others focus solely on therapy. Your therapist will discuss options with you and support what feels right for you.

Do you work with children individually?

In family work, especially when a child is involved, we do not work with the child in isolation. We focus on regulating the family system as a whole. When caregivers and the family environment become more regulated, children naturally experience more safety and stability.

Is online therapy available?

Yes. We offer both in-person and online sessions. Online therapy is conducted with the same trauma-informed principles and professional standards as in-person work.

How do I know if this space is right for me?
